Destination covered: Puri- Konark-Chilika-Bhubaneswar-Ratnagiri-Bhuabnewar

Odisha located in the eastern part of India ,is known for its tribal cultures and its many ancient Hindu temples. The capital, Bhubaneswar, is home to hundreds of temples,dating to the 11th century.It has rich historical significance and known for having many temples and one of these is Jagannath temple located in the city of Puri.Lets explore the beautiful places in the state.

Day 01: Arrive Bhubaneswar - Puri

Meet on arrival at Bhubaneswar Airport / railway Station and drive to Puri. On arrival at Puri check-in at hotel.Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 02: Puri – Konark –Puri

Morning after breakfast visit Lord Jagannath temple (Foreigner not allowed to go inside of the temple).visit Raghurajpur artisan village where absolutely crafted handicrafts, pattachitra paintings, palm leaf engravings, stone and wood carvings. Afternoon excursion to Konark.Visit the sun temple an Architecture Marvel of Eastern India and A symbol of India's heritage.It is a massive temple dedicated to the Sun God. Overnight stay at the hotel

Day 03: Puri - Chilka Lake - Puri (55 kms one way)

After breakfast go for excursion of Chilika Lake - the Asia's largest brackish water lagoon which attract one million migrate birds. After a trip of Satapada Island for famous migratory birds.Later return to Puri.Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 04: Puri - Bhubaneswar (65 kms /01 Hr.30 Minutes)

After breakfast drive to Bhubaneswar, en-route visit Pipili Village famous all over the world for its applique work and beautiful handicraft is near to Puri. Later on the way to Bhubaneswar visit Dhauli Peace Pagoda is one of the most important Buddhist pilgrimage in India. It is the same place where Emperor Ashoka after the great Kalinga war renounced the war and embraced Buddhism.On entering in Bhubaneswar visit Raja Rani temple is another marvel to the temple city of India. This temple is dedicated to Lord Brahma,visit Lingaraj temple the temple of Lord Shiva who is worshipped. Visit Khandagiri & Udayagiri Cave the ancient apartment residence for jain monks. They were the work of the first known Odishan ruler, king Kharavela & probably begun in the first century BC. Evening check-in at hotel.Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 05: Bhubaneswar - Ratnagiri (90 Kms / 02 Hrs)

After breakfast drive to Ratnagiri. On arrival at Ratnagiri check-in at hotel. Later proceed to visit Ratnagiri Museum - (closed on friday).Majority of these antiquities specially the elegant stone and bronze sculptures belong to tantric Buddhist Vajrayana sect. Later visit of Udayagiri at a distance of 13 kms from Ratnagiri famous for the largest Buddhist complexes.The Buddhist Monastic Complexes consists of the Monastery, Stupa etc. Lalitgiri is one of the earliest monasteries and the hills were occupied by buddhist from 1 century AD, is located in Jajpur in Orissa. Excavation reveal four monasteries in the hill. Archeological Department of Orissa excavated Lalitgiri, a site near Ratnagiri which was occupied by Buddhists from the first century AD to the 12th Century. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 06: Ratnagiri – Bhubanewar (90 Kms / 2 Hrs)

After breakfast drive to Bhubaneswar airport for your onward destination.
